A beautiful oak stationery cabinet dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has a lovely warm patina and a sloped front with brass escutcheon and it comes with a working key.
The doors opens out to reveal a series of shaped racks for holding papers and letters. Above this is a perpetual calendar with days, numbers and months. There is also a pen tray and two brass inkwells rich with patina showcasing its age. There are two hidden compartments in this exquisite piece.
It is in great condition and although it has been used it has been well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside, general signs of age. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
